www.brandonschooldistrict.orgIt is certainly hard to believe, but we are already halfway through this school year.
We had a great first half of the year and I have been very pleased by the prog-
ress that I am seeing in our schools and in classrooms across the district. We are
blessed with an outstanding staff and they are working as hard as ever to provide
the best possible experience for each and every student in the Brandon School
District.
As we began this school year, we identified three essential targets that would help
guide us as we worked to take our district to the next level. The following have
been the pillars of our work as a system during the 2014-15 school year and will
continue to guide us in the future:
Quality In All That We Do
We are committed to improving quality in all aspects of our district and delivering
a product that will be a source of pride for this community.
Our Service Approach
We are continuing to explore ways to better serve our families and this commu-
nity. This includes how we share information, our listening skills as a district, and
our belief that our schools exist to serve this community.

Planning For The Future
Failure to plan means planning to fail. We are looking into the future and doing the homework needed to ensure that the
Brandon School District will flourish for years to come.
I hope you enjoy this issue of the
Brandon Beat
. In it, we have tried to feature a lot of the opportunities we have for
students to find and pursue their passions. Our goal is to help every student write his or her story, and whether that
involves being up on stage, out on the diamond, in the metal shop, or hanging out with friends in the cafeteria, we know
there is something for everyone in our schools. For many, that story starts in preschool, and we think we offer the finest
preschool options in the area. So take some time to see what has been happening in the Brandon School District, and
thank you for being a part of it.
