Good afternoon Oakwood families. As you know, the Corona Virus situation has begun to change some of the things we do at school, and has the potential to change things even more so in the days to come. Here is the latest information that you need to know. We will continue to update you with any new information or changes. Dr. Outlaw sent a letter to all Brandon families today. Here is a copy if you missed it. Teachers emailed a link to a Google Forms survey regarding home readiness for online learning to prepare for the possibility of remote learning if that becomes necessary. If you did not receive the link, please email your child’s teacher to let them know. Today, teachers spoke with their classes about the Corona Virus and how to stay well. Here is a link so that you can read what teachers shared. Drama club is still meeting today after school. There are fewer than 100 students in drama, so this is approved to continue at this time. Lunch times are changing starting Tuesday, March 17 in response to the directive that we may not gather more than 100 people in one location. Click here to see the new schedule for lunch and recess. Currently, the 5th grade Mackinac trip in May is still scheduled to occur. A decision will be made before Spring Break considering the information we have at that time. The Kindergarten concert scheduled for March 26th has been canceled. There is no school tomorrow March 13 or Monday, March 16. Daily sanitizing of the classrooms and buses has been happening prior to today.I hope this is helpful. Stay tuned as more communications will come as necessary.
