Dear OES families, Thank you for your patience as our staff works together to create an exceptional plan for our distance learning model. We look forward to officially kicking off our instruction on Monday, April 13th. In the meantime, please read the detailed parent letter Dr. Outlaw sent yesterday with everything you need to know. You can access that letter here. As we prepare to launch our distance learning, the following events and information will be helpful for you to know and to be a part of. Student Orientation: On Thursday, April 9th, each teacher will host a student orientation meeting at their designated Zoom times. You should hear from your child’s teacher today at some point. Scheduled Student Zoom times: JK, K and 1st Grade 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. 2nd and 3rd Grades 9:10 - 9:40 a.m. 4th and 5th Grades 9:50 - 10:20 a.m. Parent Information Night with LIVE Q&A: I will host a Zoom webinar that will simultaneously be LIVE on the Oakwood Elementary Brandon Facebook page, for parents on Thursday, April 9th at 7:00 p.m. Here is the link to the meeting: https://zoom.us/j/483997491?pwd=NzF4cXI5QlJCNWxBSzExZlJ4a1RQZz09 If you can’t attend the parent meeting, no worries. It will be recorded and posted on the Oakwood webpage and the Oakwood Elementary Brandon Facebook page. Starting Monday, April 13th, morning announcements will be delivered at 8:15 a.m. each day on Facebook Live. If you can’t tune in at 8:15 a.m. no worries.
